Issue #059 · 10th December, 2024
Hi All!
Here is your weekly round up of what I’m pondering and exploring. Feel free to forward along to a friend if you think they might enjoy.
Stop checking the time
Timing is completely outside of our control. So just let go. Stop checking your watch to see how long you have left until you depart. Your ride is coming. Checking the time won’t speed it up. This applies to everything—not just your bus.
A great bitcoin explainer
You all know I’ve been in the crypto space for coming close to half-a-decade now. I’ve had alot of people reach out to me recently about crypto, especially Bitcoin, So I thought I’d share here with you for anyone interested a great explainer on the concept of digital currencies in general and why they matter. The video below is one of the best explanations I’ve seen to date.
Note: Avoid any FOMO you might be feeling right now and just educate on these new technologies instead of aping 90% off your savings into something you know nothing about.
I journeyed into the @FoxBusiness studios to discuss digital capital, the growth of the #Bitcoin asset class, the promise of Bitcoin as a protocol for prosperity, and the emergence of Bitcoin as the world's reserve capital network offering global property rights, with @cvpayne.

Are you ready?
I understand how crazy things are in the world. However, things are only about to accelerate even more. This rapid change thats about to occur around the world is going to impact all of us, which of course is scary, however, if you can, try embrace the change that’s coming and position yourself accordingly.
Decentralise meaning in your life
One thing I’ve been trying to do lately is not put all my eggs in one basket. I call this decentralising meaning in your life. The reason why I’ve been trying to do this is because I’ve realised if you derive all your validation or even happiness from a person, a job, or anything else in your life—you become prone to being destabilised if you lose any of these pillars.
However, if you have a strong network of friends who really care about you and face a hard financial situation, your still okay. You have people who love and care about you who will help get you back on your feet. However, if you abandoned everything in your life to chase work, you will most likely kill off lots of other areas in your life.
The only reason why I’m passionate about decentralising meaning in my life and deriving satisfaction not only from work, relationships, hobbies and friends is because it’s helping me become a more well rounded resilient person.
You can’t buy swag
